Continue reading below to learn more about the cardiovascular coding changes for 2021.nnWe have all been so focused on the changes in the Evaluation and Management section of the CPT manual that we wanted to spotlight a different code set that also received significant guideline changes in 2021, cardiac shunt procedures.nnIn addition to completely re-written guidelines, we also have three new shunting procedure codes, 33741, 33745, and add-on code 33746. Careful review and notation of all the changes is recommended, you can find the changes starting on page 262 of your CPT manual.
