CMS has released a second emergency code for the testing of CORVID-19. Unlike HCPCS code U0001, which was released last month, U0002 will be used by laboratories to bill for non-CDC SARS-CoV-2/2019-nCoV (CORVID-19).nnHCPCS code U0001 was enacted to bill for tests and to track new cases of the virus.
