Mr. Welter has over 40 years of healthcare industry experience assisting physicians and other providers, hospitals and other facilities with the business side of medicine. Through strategic planning and analysis, Mr. Welter’s main focus is to strategically increase revenues and profitability in this radically changing health care environment. 
Mr. Welter has a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership from Regis University in Denver where he has had an appointment as affiliate faculty in the School for Professional Studies for over ten years. In addition, Mr. Welter holds a faculty appointment at the University of Denver’s University College. In the Health Care Leadership program he teaches Macro Economics in Health Care and Innovative Strategies and Change in Health Care to graduate students.

Mr. Welter regularly contributes articles, research and review for well-known publications. He frequently is asked to speak to local, national and international audiences on subjects from coding and managed care contracting, revenue cycle management and sustainability.

Prior to founding Welter Healthcare Partners, Mr. Welter was the Colorado representative for Medical Information Systems, Inc. (MIS). MIS was a national medical consulting firm based in Salt Lake City. He supervised other company representatives. In addition, Mr. Welter previously held positions in hospitals, insurance companies and independent practice associations. Mr. Welter is a former member of the Medical Group Managers Association’s Health Care Consulting Group. He was called upon by the MGMA to assist their membership with all coding and reimbursement issues.
